As we all know that reliance jio has made a tremendous change in telecom operators through their exciting services which is being appreciated by everyone. Reliance Jio has extended their preview offer till 31st march with new name “New Year Offer” in which they’re offering unlimited data (1GB FUP/day) and unlimited HD Voice calling for free without any limitation. Jio is providing high speed 4g interent which which can be verified from TRAI myspeed check website. Telecom operators have started launching new plans and recharge packs of their own, offering unlimited voice calls, and various data benefits, in order to retain users.
Jio Offering VoLTE Services
As compared to Jio, other telecom operators are not offering VoLTE services, which is a matter of experiencing crisp, clear HD voice first hand, which can only happen on Jio’s network. Ambani also announced home delivery of Jio SIM cards and making mobile number portability easier for quicker sign-ups. The data usage cap under fair usage policy per day has been reduced from 4GB earlier to 1GB, in an attempt to clear network congestion and provide better speeds to Jio customers. The company has nearly 80% of its users consuming less than 1GB of data on a daily basis. On VoLTE services you can make video calls directly with Jio sim card which is absolutely free. Other network operators are still giving LTE services in their 4g network.
Jio Apps Popularity Increasing Day by Day
There has been plenty of comparison happening between leading telco provider Airtel and Jio and the competition has been really aggressive. Their app ecosystems lag far behind Jio’s apps both in terms of popularity, ratings and most importantly content libraries (barring, maybe Wynk music).
- The recent My Airtel app looked like an exact copy of the My jio app even the branding was done in such a way that it would look like the Jio Apps.
- There is a Huge difference also between the downloads which speaks for the app itself while Airtel Movies has 5 million downloads Jio Cinema has a 10 million downloads.
- Excluding the above, Jio app ecosystem has a clear lead with the Jio TV app, which has rich live content from around 400 channels, many of which you can only avail via expensive cable TV subscriptions.
- Also, the Jio app ecosystem has various other apps like JioChat, Jio4GVoice, JioNewspaper, JioCloud, JioMags, JioSecurity and JioXpressnews.
Also My Jio app have got more user base as the My Jio app can be installed on any android device running version 4.0.3 and above, however with My Airtel only android users who have version 4.1 and above can installed and use it. Jio apps are under top rated apps in google play store. Day by day they are coming at top which shows the popularity of Jio apps among android users.
Jio Highest 4g Internet Speed Network
In terms of internet speed Jio has also proved to be the fastest when it comes to most of the circles. Below we have attached a screenshot which shows that Jio has much better speed as compared to other teleocom operators. However still in some areas Jio speed is becoming a slight issue, but that would be also improved soon. Speed may vary areawise but in metro cities jio has highest speed as comapred to other telecom operators.
Jio Introducing e-KYC
Usually when you purchase a sim card then you need to carry your id proof and a photo to purchase the sim card although it also takes some time in activation but reliance jio is using e-KYC process, By switching to eKYC, the whole process will become much faster – you should be able to walk out of the store with a working Jio SIM card, in an ideal scenario. Reliance Jio also is the one to get the Telecom Industry entirely revolutionized by getting in E-Kyc and free calls for life rest of the telcos just tried to either copy it or tried imitate it. (giving bundled plans) Jio introduced e-KYC before all other networks with the help of e-KYC your sim card will be activated instantly and you wouldn’t have to wait for your document verification etc.
Vodafone’s Hourly Data Pack Flopped
To compete with Jio other telecom operators have launched some new data plans & voice plans but none of them can beat Jio’s offer. Recently vodafone launched hourly data pack which seems to be failed & very costly. Vodafone’s hourly data pack is available only for prepaid customers and speeds they say will be normal depending on your handset 3g or 4g. In fact nobody can do a continuous recharges as the clock resets every hour meaning one cannot recharge till one’s one hour is up, and also takes an hour to activate the pack.
Jio Network Increasing Day by Day
Reliance Jio has deployed 2.5 lac Km Optical Fiber Network. It will be a boon for data services. As i mentioned voice services will be dead and entire competition will be around data services. Being a last entrant, Reliance Jio is at an advantage as they have adopted the latest technology. it will hit where it will hurt the most to existing telecom operators.
